Wavegrove has released
Vastaus v1.1.0, free high-end fixer plugin for
digital audio workstations on Windows and Mac.
Version change list:

- Added settings for oversampling
and to output the changed signal, delta.
- Increased range of the effect and tame knob,
making the wet control more useful, even at 1/3 the
effect is quite strong.
- Wet at full the compression characteristics are a
bit different with different oversampling rates,
with 2X having a bit less headroom. Increasing
oversampling raises headroom and makes the effect
smoother and airier.
- Improved performance a bit.
- - 1.0.3 Added oversampling to
reduce aliasing. Modified Tame a bit to be even
smoother, while not reducing the extreme highs so
much. Overall betterments.
Wavegrove Vastaus is a High end fixer that can solve
a very common problem that occurs while mixing 100%
in-the-box: the harshness in the top-end. This
plugin does something somewhat similar to what some
hardware unit do: it makes the high frequencies more
pleasant by adding a silky, velvety color.
Very simple controls: input gain, output gain,
dry/wet knob, tame -to decrease the amount of high
frequencies- and a react switch with its bias
control, to make the plugin more forgiving with
transients.
Vastaus is available in AU and VST3 formats for
macOS or VST2 and VST3 formats for Windows. Both
Intel and M1 Macs are now supported.
